Alejandro Artigas
"Alejandro Artigas de Spa, originally from Mexico City, has made Barcelona his home since 2015.
After finishing his degree in civil engineering, he gradually shifted his career towards architecture.
He has been collaborating with different architecture studios in Barcelona as well as developing personal projects.
His passion lies in exploring the dualities in architecture—where local meets global, tradition intersects with modernity, and the balance between manual craftsmanship and industrial precision. Alejandro finds inspiration in the relationship of poetic imagination and mathematical precision within architectural design.
Beyond the aesthetic, he is interested in the interplay between natural landscapes, societal contexts, and architectural structures. Alejandro is fascinated by how public spaces wield the power to shape and define identities within communities. His work resonates with a deep understanding of how architecture intertwines with both, the natural environment and the social fabric."
Together with JImmy Solórzano created two installations in the festival ES_CULTURA festival and the exhibition in Can Trinxet, both in L'Hospitalet.
