AGORA at the Afrobanana Festival

The Afrobanana Festival is a vibrant four-day music event attracting throngs of young attendees and boasting a lineup of world-class musicians from across the globe. Urban Gorillas were invited to instal the AGORA at the festival, as a place of silence and reflexion of festival-goers. It also provided a platform for a performance and workshop of two Japanese artists from Orangcosong and their performance, Hitsudankai. This unique performance, characterized by its silent and participatory nature, stood as a stark contrast to the festival's bustling soundscape. Hitsudankai delved into alternative communication methods, engaging festival attendees in a silent yet playful message exchange.
