Creating A SOUND PLACE in Lisbon II

Junior composers Marta Domingues, Ana Roque, Mariana Ribeiro, Mariana Vieira and Francisco Rosa reflect on their respective experiences in creating "A Sound Place" in Lisbon. They speak of their musical pieces that make up the concert “A Sound Place”, revealing their sources of inspiration and their creative processes, based on the idea of ​​soundscape in the Mouraria neighbourhood and, in particular, in the Martim Moniz square. They created musical compositions having in mind the relationship with the multicultural space of Mouraria and Martim Moniz, and that was, for all of them, an enormous creative challenge, considering the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
