Špela Verovšek
Ljubljana (Slovenia)
Špela Verovšek graduated from the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana and gain her PhD degree at the Faculty of Architecture (University of Ljubljana), where currently employed as a research associate. Her fields of expertise include architectural heritage, local identity, sustainable development and valorisation of living quality. She is currently actively involved in national program Sustainable planning for the quality living space. As an academic researcher with wide geographical, social and architectural/urbanistic backgrounds she is well acquainted with past and current social, geopolitical and economic issues and familiar with a broad range of methodological approaches, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making. Her initial research interests focus on development of the presentation techniques in urban design, participation of public in decision making, methodologies for the assessment of built environment and quality of urban spaces.
